Frequently asked questions.

1. How Will Leadership Coaching Help Me To Be a Better Leader?

Leadership can be broken down into 4 quadrants that a successful leader has developed within their thinking. Great Leaders have the ability to think big picture, create systems to move everyone to the mission, get the stuff done and inspire the people to take aligned action. While doing Leadership coaching with Dani Ferrier you will be assessed based on these 4 quadrants and then we will create a development plan for you to excel in those areas. I use a profiling tool that has been researched for over 15 years to give us the certainty to know where your thinking is at. We then work through the blocks that are holding you back from being able to perform well in this area. For example, If you grew up in an environment where you had a strict mother you may have created an unconscious resistance to systems. We talk about this in each session to build your self-awareness and as a result of that are able to grow in these areas.

2. How Do I Know if It Is the Right Time for Me To Be Coached?

If you feel stuck and are frustrated with the way things are it means you are ready for the next level of growth. The real reason you are reading this is because something has to change. You are hungry for more and want to reach the next level. Coaching is also a massive commitment to yourself. Most people are not used to putting themselves first because they are doing so much for others and this is not leadership. Leadership is committing to being the best person you can be and as a result of that, you will inspire people to take action and be inspired by you. You will know it's the right time because you are finally ready to go down the path unknown. You are ready to challenge yourself to be more and show up for others with gusto! You are sick of having the same conversations and not getting a different result. You are ready to learn the communication skills to transform your team around you and as a result of that be able to step back.

3. How Do You Measure the Impact of Leadership Coaching?

The profile tool that I use gives us a metric to work with that clearly identifies what is it that we need to work on and we set clear goals in place for our journey together. All of my clients have totally exceeded their goals and were able to achieve what they did not think possible in such a short time frame. 4. How Will I Know if a Leadership Coach Is the Right Coach for Me?

When you are in a room full of people you are able to identify who are ‘your people’. It's a feeling that you get of trust, respect and inspiration. The conversation flows and you are able to share with ease. The same thing applies to coaches. Not everyone is your cup of tea and that is absolutely fine. I only work with people who are raving ‘Dani’ fans because they love my energy, my systems, my approach to business and how present I am with them. Some people are turned off by my confidence because I can be seen as ‘too much’ for them and some people know that they want to become this confident and that is exactly why they want to hang out with me!

5. How Many Coaching Sessions Are Usually Needed, and How Many Months Will I Work With a Coach?

There are 3 stages in my coaching development. Identifying where you are at with the Meta Dynamics profiling tool, identify the blocks that are holding you back and then work on each of those blocks. Most clients work with me for an average of 6 months and some clients for up to 1 year. They do my program to start and then sign on for more as their challenges become more complex and they need to keep developing themselves to keep up with the demands of their Leadership role.

6. Does Leadership Coaching Always Involve a Psychometric Tool? - YES (or they should)

What is the Meta Dynamics™ Profiler Tool (MDPT)?

The Meta Dynamics™ Profiling Tool is a 16 Dimension assessment that assesses an individual’s preferences, particularly in the everyday context. This tool uses 70 questions to measure the 4 primary characteristics that are relevant to thinking styles for personal, professional, business and leadership development.

This tool is similar to the popular personality and behavioural profiling tools such as the Occupational Personality Questionnaire, EDISC and Myers Briggs except on steroids, using Meta Dynamics™ Critical Alignment Model (Environment, Structure, Implementation and People)!

This tool, matched with the appropriate training, allows coaches to understand their clients on a whole other level, help their clients understand themselves on a deeper level and learn to use their results to improve all areas of their life.

Who can use this tool?

The Meta Dynamics™ Profiling Tool is for coaches who have completed their Meta II training, who are committed to the highest standards in coaching. This training is designed specifically for coaches to learn this tool and

In order to register for Meta II, coaches must have completed at a minimum, Meta Dynamics™ Foundations and Meta Dynamics™ Practitioner (Meta I).

Dani has completed her Level 1, 2 and 3 training and is now teaching others how to do the same!

7. What’s the Difference Between Coaching and Mentoring?

Have you ever had someone give you a solution to something that they think is a great idea and when they suggest it to you it is absolutely not helpful and you are never going to do it? That's because it is not the best solution FOR YOU. It is the ‘thinking’ they know what you want and need and they are putting their version of life onto you. Coaching is asking really powerful questions to help you come to your own awnsers because coaches believe that you are the best person to solve your own problems. You are the expert in your business and your industry and I would be ignorant to think that I know better. You also learn how to develop your own thinking to solve your own problems in the future which is way more effective. If I happen to be an expert in the field that we are talking about then I may be able to share an experience that I have had but it is up to you what you do with it.

8. If the Coach Isn’t Familiar With My Work and Life, How Can They Help Me?

We study human behaviour and phycology which creates a very insightful way of knowing what mental processes lead to a fulfilled and successful life and which ones are going to trip you up either now or in the future. We are able to question these patterns with curiosity and help you to develop your own awareness around what it is that may be holding you back and then you can choose to change your reality and then create different outcomes in your life.
